Chairman Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Thursday hosted farewell lunch in the honour of newly appointed Pakistan's ambassador to New Zealand and outgoing Deputy High Commissioner to India Munawar Saeed.
Pakistan's High Commissioner to India Aziz Ahmad Khan was present on the occasion.
Hurriyat Chairman was accompanied by senior Kashmiri leaders including Abdul Ghani Bhat, Bilal Lone, Agha Eyed Hussain Badgami and Fazal-ul-Haq Qureshi on the occasion.
Former Chairman, All Parties Hurriyat Conference Maulana Abbas Ansari could not attend the farewell event owing to some other engagements.
Kashmiri cuisine was conspicuous at the sumptuous lunch served, on the occasion.
Munwar Saeed, who was appointed as Deputy High Commissioner to India in March 2003 has completed his tenure and will shortly take up his new stint as Pakistan's envoy to New Zealand later this month.
