A nine-member committee meeting constituted Prime Minister under the Chairmanship of the Minister for Health, Muhammad Nasir Khan held here on Friday to review the proposed amendments in the PMDC ordinance.
The PMDC ordinance was last promulgated in 1962 and therefore there is a dire need of amendments in the said ordinance to make it effective, says a press release. The proposed amendments in the PMDC ordinance were examined clause by clause.
The committee would soon hold another meeting to finalise the draft legislation. Secretary Health, Anwar Mehmood, Chairman Higher Education Commission Professor Dr Atta-ur-Rehman, Chairman BOG: University of Health Sciences, Lahore Professor Mahmood Ahmad Chaudhry were also present.
