Four-day training course for senior statistical officers on Stata (a latest software) began here on Tuesday at the training center of Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS).
Secretary Statistics Division, Asad Elahi inaugurated the training course organised by the bureau in collaboration with Department for International Development (DFID) UK.
Dr Roger Stern an expert from Reading University UK and expert from DFID, Vice Principal of the training wing Ms Rashida Bokhari also spoke on the occasion. Berned Struck of GTZ Germany and Mark Woodward MIS Advisor of DFID are also conducting the course.
Twenty participants/officers from Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS), Population Census Organisation (PCO) and Agriculture Census Organisation (ACO) are attending the training course.
In his inaugural address, Asad Elahi called upon the officers and staff of statistics division to equip themselves with modern technology, improve their skills and take optimum benefit from the courses being conducted for them.
