The Cisco System has opened its office in Islamabad and appointed Dr Aamir Matin as the Cisco Systems Pakistan general manager. Dr Matin brings with him over 25 years of experience in ICT in a wide variety of Influential roles as CEO, entrepreneur, a policy-maker and an educator.
He was recently working with the IT ministry, where he led various successful initiatives that boosted it exports and services, says a press release.
"Pakistan is a key market for us and we have invested heavily here in terms of people and by opening up a new office in the country.
These important changes are part of Cisco's strategy underpinning the creation of the new Emerging Markets Theatre," said Mark De Simone, vice-president for Middle East and Africa.-PR
