Chinese Consul General Sun Chunye has advised the business community to earn more foreign exchange for Pakistan by exporting better quality goods to Chinese market as there is a big scope for the Pakistani products.
Speaking at a meeting of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (Kati), he said that Pakistani industry and agriculture goods were very much liked in China, but pointed out that Chinese consumers liked only good quality products.
He said that the businessmen of the two neighbouring countries, instead of fully relying on their government, should play their role in improving trade relations between China and Pakistan.
Sun Chunye informed the meeting that during the past one year, two-way trade volume was increased by 30 percent, but the balance of trade was still in favour of China.
He said that to balance the two-way trade, Pakistani business community should publish their products in China through road shows. The Consul General agreed to a proposal to issue visas on the recommendations of Kati on priority basis and only to the genuine businessmen.
Welcoming the guests, Kati Chairman Gulzar Firoz said that the Chinese government should provide more opportunities to Pakistani businessmen to make their exports to China easier.-PR
