The government of Afghanistan has introduced the latest Asycuda System for Customs Data making the customs procedure as per demands of the modern era. This development has made Afghanistan 85th country of the world in which the modern customs system has been adopted.
This was told by Afghan Superintendent Customs, Muhammad Saleem Mohmand while talking to delegation of Pakistani businessmen. Chairman, Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) Standing Committee on Railway & Dryport and president, Frontier Commercial Exporters, Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi led the delegation.
The government of Afghanistan has withdrawn the power of the issuance of Elmul Khaber from Afghan Trade Commissioner and now the Ministry of Finance would issue alternative invoice in the form of TI form. In the wake of the decision of Afghanistan, the exporters would not be required the document of Elmul Khaber and the trade invoice would be available on the payment of 1,000 Afghan currency.
Talking on the occasion, the leader of Pakistan delegation, Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi thanked the government of Afghanistan in general and Afghan Ministry of Finance in particular for abolition of the document of Elmul Khaber, an Afghan document required for export to the neighbouring country to make trade with Afghanistan easy. The government of Afghanistan has also established computerised customs system at Pak-Afghan border.
Sarhadi expressed the hope that the abolition of the Elmul Khaber would help facilitate traders and their problems would be minimised. He further said that the abolition of the document and introduction of new trade invoice form would help lessen the hardships of the business community.-PR
