The board of governors of Independent Monitoring Association for Child Labour will meet in Sialkot on May 18. According to IMAC sources, the association's board of governors comprises 8 members representing Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), trade union (APFTU), NGOs, District Nazim, Pakistan Sports Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PSGMEA), and a soccer ball manufacturer in individual capacity.
International Labour Organisation (ILO) and Unicef are associated in technical advisory capacity. IMAC was established in 2002 to sustain the workplace monitoring system against child labour.
