Wheat procurement process in full swing

The wheat procurement process is in full swing in Sialkot and Narowal districts and it is expected that as many as 720,000 wheat bags would be purchased from growers in the two districts.
Official sources told Business Recorder here on Tuesday that under the wheat procurement drive, while 535,000 wheat bags would be purchased in Sialkot district and 185,000 bags in Narowal district, of which 344,000 wheat bags had so far been purchased in Sialkot district and 126,000 bags in Narowal.
He said the wheat procurement centres had been set up at Saidpur, Daska, KBF Chand, Baddomalhhi, Shakargrah, Sialkot, Sambrial, Chawinda, Siranwali, Pasrur and Narowal areas for the convenience of wheat sellers in the districts.
The wheat would be purchased at Rs 415 per 40 kilograms from growers and the food department had deputed necessary staff at all purchase centres.
