The Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has called upon the government to arrange fair and impartial inquiry into the death of Amir Cheema in the custody of German Police.
The bar, in a meeting held with its President Mian Israr ul Haq in the chair, resolved that Amir Cheema being a true Muslim sacrificed his life for the sake of Islam.
Addressing the meeting, Mian Israr said that Amir Cheema being a true Muslim took the right step but the German Police killed him and showed their hatred against the Muslims.
He said a true Muslim could not commit suicide and added that German police killed him after resorting to severe torture.
Moreover, the bar also appreciated the services of late bar member Rashid Murtaza Qureshi and resolved that he always waged struggle for the rule of law and rights of the poor people.
