The Karachi Port handled 137,153 tonnes of cargo including 110,721 tonnes import, 26,432 tonnes export cargo and 4,313 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 70,928 tonnes dry cargo including 51,361 tonnes general cargo; 4,031 tonnes sugar; 1,266 tonnes rice; 1,070 tonnes cement; 13,200 tonnes coal and 66,225 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Orient Independence, Maersk Alabama, Mac Andrasew Swala, Pacific Emerald, Haje Khereh, Bi Bi-M and Ocean Seraya sailed out to sea during the report period.
Nine vessels viz MT Johar, Apl Pusan, Clipper Kristin, Kota Teraju, Mac Andrasew Swala, Sinar Bontang, Kota Mesra, Kota Wangi and Bonasia are currently at the berths.
Six ships namely Marine GR, Darya Yog, MT Johar, Apl Pusan, Kota Teraju and Kota Mesra expected to sail on Wednesday, while six vessels viz Kota Wangi, Dubai Gold, Clipper Kristin, Iran Baabaei, Elka Aristotle and Hyundai Highway expected to sail on Thursday.
Seven vessels viz Al-Maqwa, Corinthiakos, Tessor-N, Vancouver Victory, Amer, Seven Star and Cosmic Challenger due to arrive on Wednesday, while five ships namely Al-Marwah, Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Rainbow Spring, Pacific Sun-II and Iron Butterfly are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 117,606 tonnes comprising 84,483 tonnes import and 33,123 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2,765 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 47,910 tonnes diesel oil; 12,526 tonnes iron ore; 1,790 tonnes chemicals; 1,959 tonnes sugar; 6,416 tonnes rice and 47,005 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two ships namely MT Liquid Success and CV Nedlloyd Muscat sailed out to sea during the report period, while three more ships namely CV Sealand Mariner, CV Asian Trader and MT Sita Mia are expected to sail on Wednesday.
A total of four vessels viz Al-Wajba, Xiang Wan, CMA CGM Kingston and Asian Trader are currently at the outer anchorage.
Two ships namely CV Asian Trader and MT Sita Mia due to take berths on Wednesday.
Container vessel Indonesia Star is due to arrive on Wednesday, while three more ships namely MV Taipan-I, MT Vema Ocean and MV Paula are due to arrive to load/offload rice, furnace oil and general cargo on Thursday.
