No employee to be terminated

The Minister of Ports and Shipping, Senator Babar Khan Ghauri, on Thursday said, no employee would be terminated or victimised in his ministry.
In an address to mark the one-millionth container handling at the Karachi Port, he offered the employees to discussed any problem relating to Voluntarily Retirement Scheme (VRS) or its package or any other reservation of the workers would be considered sincerely.
"Now, the port handling is modernising at a fast pace and if we are unable to meet such requirement it would be better to take advantage of VRS with better remunerations", he added.
