Advisor to Punjab Chief Minister Dr Faiza Asghar has said that Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) was taking effective steps to stop the child trafficking.
She stated this while talking with the members of Norway delegation at CPWB here on Thursday. Dr Faiza briefed the delegation that they were working with FIA for eradication of child trafficking.
The delegation members appreciated the facilities being provided to the children at CPWB. They assured their co-operation for family support programme of camel jockey children. Norway delegation is working on forced marriage and trafficking issues in Norway. In this regard they visited CPWB with a special focus on the camel jockey children trafficking. Guri Emilie Kanavin, Eva Frivold and Jorunn Thue Hansen were the members of the delegation.
