Professor Dr Haroon Rashid Chaudhry has been invited to give a presentation titled "Community Treatment of Chronic Mental Illness in Pakistan" in the Grand Round at Children Hospital, Boston, Howard Medical School.
Dr Haroon Rashid is zonal representative of World Psychiatric Association, Head of Department of Psychiatry, Fatima Jinnah Medical College/ Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Executive Director Fountain House Director of Schizophrenia Programme Dr Don Goff and Director of International Psychiatry Dr Greg Fricchione will be discussants.
Dr Haroon will also attend research meetings with Professor Christopher A Walsh (MD, PhD) Dr Eric Morrow (MD) and other members of Walsh Laboratory.
They will discuss the ongoing research projects between Children Hospital, Boston, Howard Medical School, Fatima Jinnah Medical College/ Sir Ganga Ram hospital and Fountain House Pakistan on May 25.
Dr Haroon will also meet Pakistani graduates and postgraduates studying at Howard Medical School during his stay. Dr Haroon will be receiving his fellowship of Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in the first week of June at Dublin, Ireland.
