New experiments and policies of the present government have created major problems in the country, including price hike, unemployment and the law and order situation. Mohammad Pervaiz Malik, PML-N Central Secretary Finance, expressed these views while addressing a gathering of the PML-N workers, here on Friday.
Malik said that the government has itself admitted the failure, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz was reiterating time and again to leave the price structures on the market forces but gradually the government has realised that it could not be left on the market force and the laws have to be enforced to check the price hike, hoarding and black marketing which has posed a gigantic problem, he added.
According to him, the main reason of price hike was government structure at provincial and district levels, flaws in the Local Government Ordinance, its implementation and above all the corruption, plundering of public wealth, writing off loans and ruination of state institutions and undue and unjustified privatisation.
On law and order situation, he said that the situation is worst ever; it was never as alarming as it was today. "The economic situation and deprivation of people have resulted in the increase in crimes. The general public, which is hard hit by economic factors, is facing acute security problems and they are being looted at the hands of dacoits and murderers. No one is safe, he said.
