Shopkeepers, businessmen and transport operators have planned to observe strike on Saturday in response to a call given by Sunni Tehrik (ST) as a protest against police and Sindh government's failure in apprehension of saboteurs who had planted bomb in Nishtar Park congregation.
The leadership of Sunni Tehrik asked all trade and transport organisations to observe a strike on Saturday against the failure of the Sindh government and the police to arrest the accused involved in the blast at Nishtar Park on April 11.
The leaders of Sunni Tehrik are actively in consultation with various organisations of shopkeepers, traders, businessmen and transport operators with a view to observing a complete strike on Saturday. A spokesman for Sunni Tehrik told that there would be a wheel jam on May 27. The tragic blast at Nishtar Park claimed lives of more than 70 religious leaders, Ulema and scholars and more than 100 others were injured.
Meanwhile, central leaders of trade organisations announced on Friday that there would be a complete strike in Multan and other parts of south Punjab on Saturday and all markets, shops, bazaars and business centres would remain closed as a protest against the failure of the police to arrest the culprits involved in Karachi Nishtar Park blast.
