Cocoa futures closed in negative territory for the sixth straight session Friday, with a rising dollar sparking a sell-off which pushed the benchmark contract to a 5-week low, traders said.
The New York Board of Trade's active cocoa contract for July delivery fell $11 or 0.75 percent to end at $1,461 a tonne, its lowest settlement since April 18. September slipped $10 to finish at $1,489 a tonne, and longer-dated contracts shed $8 to $9.
