Downward trend was seen on the forward cottonseed oilcake market on Monday as leading buyers were conspicuous by their absence, dealers said.
The July vaida commenced inert at Rs 454.80. Later, it gained 10 paisa to be day's best at Rs 545.90. In the process of trading it lost Rs 1.90 to be lowest at Rs 544.00 and market closed at the same level, they added.
The August vaida opened at Rs 606.00 and that proved to be the days best at the same level. Later, it shed Rs 3.00 to be day's lowest at Rs 603.00 and closing was seen at the same level, they said.
The December vaida commenced at Rs 521.00. In process of trading, it gained Re.one to be day's best at Rs 522.00. during the day it lost Rs 4.60 to Rs 517.40 and market settled at the same level, they added.
