Maharashtra government has identified three properties in Mumbai for Pakistan to choose for opening its Consulate. The development can help end the stalemate on reopening of Consulates by India and Pakistan in Karachi and Mumbai respectively.
More than 22 years after these were closed down when the bilateral relations witnessed all time low, said a news report by Press Trust of India.
The Maharashtra chief secretary has written a letter to Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran informing him about identification of the properties from which Pakistan could select one for opening the mission, added the report quoting the sources here on Wednesday.
