Member of the Provincial Assembly Faisal Sabzwari, speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Kidz and Famina expo on Thursday at the Expo Centre, said that all the development works on roads and streets in Karachi will be completed within a year.
He also said that the development works at Hasan Square are in progress and it is most likely to be completed by September. He said that work on the beautification and up-gradation of the city is also being carried out.
He opined the work on the roads and installation of damaged water pipelines previous governments were done in a systematic manner, we would have been saved from carrying out these extra jobs.
Speaking on the occasion, former chairman of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Haseeb Khan, appreciated the city government for organising the Kidz and Famina expo to entertain the children during the summer vacations.
Highlighting the importance of the good health in the life, he said that how a women can prove herself a good mother without good health, they must take care of their health and try to shed worries.
He said that we are living in tension due to rising problems at home and outside the homes.
Self-created, large or small tensions as well as bad feelings force us to face 70 percent diseases in our daily lives and this was called Psycho Trauma. We must try to keep away from these tensions and share love to lessen the differences among people. In medical terms, if a woman after 35 years and a man after 40 years do not spend more or less one-hour on themselves, it means that it would lead to suicide. Easy exercises can help them to keep fit and refrain from any annoyance.
He also hauled the Saba Promoters for organising the programme, the expo will continue till 12, 2006. Women and children can easily visit the site.
Abdul Karim Memon, chief Executive officer, Saba promoters also appreciated the effort by the government and hoped that the government would continue its efforts to improve the basic facilities in the city.
Saif-ur-Rehman Grami, Ex-vice president of the Arts Council, urged the women to take a proper diet, so they can maintain their health fitness. A mother needs good health to bring up their children in a perfect way, he said.
Niab Nazim City District Government Karachi, Nasreen Jalil could not attend the functions as she is out of the country. Nearly 10,000 of children would sign the giant size board (100x8ft) and it will be presented to the city Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal at the closing ceremony in acceptance of efforts being made by the city government to provide a pollution free environment to the Karachiites. There were several stalls for children's dresses, books and food items. Thousand of children appeared to be pretty happy during their visit to the expo and mothers were also satisfied with the prices of the products, available at various stalls.
