Nai Zindagi, an NGO working to prevent transmission of HIV and AIDS among street-based drug-users, has arranged an evening with ex-drug users and people living with HIV and AIDS at its rehabilitation and care center at Anza farms, Simly Dam Road near Islamabad on Thursday, June 15.
Its project 'From Margins to Mainstream' is supported by the Dutch ministry of foreign affairs to provide skills training and employment opportunities to ex-drug users and people living with HIV and AIDS. Under this project, Nai Zindagi has mastered the art of growing high-quality table grapes, which have never been grown in this area.
The visit by media persons would give a first-hand experience of a new and innovative approach regarding rehabilitation of drug-users and HIV, AIDS patients. Experts will deliver a presentation about the project.
