National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) held a 2-day training workshop of local police officers here on Monday in collaboration with Citizen-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC).
Over 20 police officers and staff members of the CPLC participated in the training workshop to improve their skill. Addressing the training workshop, Chairman, GC University, Islamic Studies Department, Dr Mudassar said that after the protection of human rights, there was no need for any charter of constitution. He said that the deprivation of the rights of any individual or community on the basis of religion was a big sin.
Rao Zafar Iqbal Advocate, Chairman, Human Rights Commission said that our rights are combine with our responsive role for betterment of the humanity irrespective of religion and creed. He said that if we discharge our duties honestly and dedicatedly, the human rights would automatically be ensured. Trainer, Babar Bashir, while addressing the workshop said that police officers should bring change in their mental approach towards people and try to solve their genuine grievances without altering the infrastructure. The training workshop for police officers will terminate on Tuesday evening, June 20, 2006.
