One person was killed while three others, including a girl injured when an under construction roof of a factory collapsed at Karol Ghatti, Bund road here on Thursday.
A spokesman of Rescue 1122 said that factory owner Muhammad Shoaib, Muhammad Shafiq son of a contractor, scavengers Qasim Abbas and his sister Saba Abbas were present in the factory when suddenly its roof collapsed. As a result, all the four burned under the debris. On receiving information, three ambulances of rescue 1122 reached the spot and pulled them out from the debris.
Muhammad Shoaib died on the spot while three others injured. They were rushed to the services hospital for treatment where the condition of Qasim was stated to be critical.
