US benchmark arabica coffee futures climbed 2.3 percent to a three-week high Friday, boosted by speculative and fund buying with a lack of producer selling lending support, traders and analysts said.
The New York Board of Trade's arabica coffee contract for September delivery ended with a gain of 2.25 cents at $1.0110 a lb after trading from 98.75 cents to $1.0180. Back month arabica futures settled up 1.0 to 2.20 cents.
