President General Pervez Musharraf said on Monday that Pakistan has strategised its defence requirements for the next 15 years and vowed that defence of the country would be made impregnable. Addressing troops of Northern Light Infantry on the occasion of regimental reunion, the President said a strong defence capability guarantees security and strength.
Speaking about the economic turnaround, he said the country has been put on the path of economic progress and efforts are underway to transfer the benefits of macro gains to the grass roots level.
Hailing the professional capabilities of Northern Light Infantry Regiment, the President said the people of the Northern Areas and those associated with the regiment had rendered services for defence of the country. Corps Commander Lieutenant General Salahuddin, Force, Commander Northern Areas Major General Mohsin Kamal, a large number of army troops, JCOs, jawans and retired army officers were present on the occasion.
