Oracle has announced significant customer traction and revenue growth in the Asia Pacific & Japan region, bringing in more than $2 billion in total revenues fiscal 2006. For full fiscal year 06 (ended May 31, 2006), Oracle reported total revenue of $2.02 billion - an 18 percent increase against fiscal 2005.
Applications of new licence revenues grew by 69 percent while database and middle ware new licence increased by 13 percent. The company accounted for about 14 percent of total revenues world-wide and 19 percent of total new licence revenues world-wide.
For the last quarter of fiscal 2006, Oracle reported total revenues of $684 million, a 27 percent increase against the corresponding period of last year.
"The outgoing fiscal was a record year for Oracle Asia Pacific and Japan and we delivered significant revenue growth in all products and geographies," a press release quoted Derek Williams, Chairman & Executive Vice President, Oracle Asia Pacific & Japan as saying.
