A team of United States surgeons, comprising a reconstructive surgeon and a paediatric surgeon, will be performing surgeries at Burns Centre of Civil Hospital and National Institute of Child Health here from Thursday to Sunday.
Dr Firoze of HASWA told newsmen here on Tuesday that the visit of the two surgeons, accompanied by nurse Leslie Emnert, had been jointly arranged by House of Charity, an association of Texas-based Pakistani Americans, led by Hashmat Effendi and HASWA, an association of medical professionals.
Dr Michael E Schafer, a senior reconstructive surgeon from St. Lukes Medical Centre and Dr Geof Williams of medical branch Galveston, University of Texas, will be performing reconstructive surgeries to rectify deformities caused due to burns among people of all age groups, visiting Civil Hospital.
