Grams prices went up sharply in the grain market on Thursday as supply was tight amid increased demand, dealers said. On the grams side, gram Garda Punjab gained Rs 25 to Rs 2875-2950.
Gram dal Punjab also picked up the same amount at Rs 3300-3375. Yellow peas Canada inferior type shed Rs 15 to Rs 1425 and good type lost Rs 25 to Rs 1475 . Yellow dal Canada was lower by Rs 15 to Rs 1600 and better type followed suit and shed Rs 25 to Rs 1650.
Beetle Chana No 1 inferior variety gained Rs 25 to Rs 3000 while the other type did not move any side at Rs 3075. Beetle 50x50 low type rose by Rs 25 to Rs 2900 while better type maintained the same level at Rs 2975, they said. Dal beetle picked up Rs 50 to Rs 3400-3475, they said. Other sectors remained unchanged in process of low trading, they said.
