The Karachi Port handled 96,361 tonnes of cargo including 82,281 tonnes import, 14,080 tonnes export cargo and 6,391 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 96,361 tonnes dry cargo including 56,376 tonnes general cargo; 4,698 tonnes sugar; 10,187 tonnes fertiliser; 897 tonnes rice; 7,600 tonnes coal; 5,627 tonnes scrap; 10,976 tonnes rock phosphate and 000 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Four ships namely China Star, Apl Jeddah, Iran Sattari and Kota Mesra sailed out to sea during the report period.
Seven vessels viz China Star, Satha Bhum, Corinthiakos, Sinar Bontang, YM Energy, Hyundai Advance and NIL are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Satha Bhum and YM Energy expected to sail on Thursday, while six vessels viz Emerald Sea, Alycia, Chi Feng Kou, Antonis, Nicolas S and Corinthiakos are expected to sail on Friday.
Three vessels viz MT Johar, Leopard and Khairpur due to arrive on Thursday, while five ships namely Ltc Calvin P Titus, Sibi, Dimitric c, Barra and Sea Rose are due to arrive on Friday.
The cargo comprised of 8,430 tonnes edible oil; 3,920 tonnes sugar; 2,136 tonnes rice; 16,202 tonnes iron ore; 3,212 tonnes chemicals and 26,775 tonnes containerised cargo.
Four ships namely CV Nedlloyd Muscat, MSC Camille, Qem Star and MT Density-1 sailed out to sea during report period, while another ship CV CMA CGM Kingston is expected to sail on Thursday.
A total of five vessels viz Al-Manakh, Mega-1, Yanaseni, Vema Ocean and Marblue are currently at the outer anchorage.
Four ships namely Al-Manakh, Mega-1, Yanaseni and MT Ottawa due to take berths on Thursday.
Chemicals carrier MT Liquid Success due to arrive on Thursday, while three more ships namely CV MSC Natalia, MV Alabanda and MV Scan Bothina with containers, canola seeds and general cargo are due to arrive on Friday.
