Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) has announced full support to MMA's movement to be launched against President Pervez Musharraf and sitting government from July 16.
Secretary General JUP Qari Muhammad Zawar told newsmen, here on Thursday that the days of sitting rulers are numbered and opposition is united on one-point agenda of putting an end to the dictatorship.
He said that solution of problems confronting to the country and nation lies in restoration of democracy in its true form through holding of fresh general elections in an impartial manner.
He announced that Pir Ijaz Ahmed Hashmi, Allama Syed Shahbir Ahmed Hashmi and Muhammad Sadiq Rathore have been appointed Vice-Presidents of JUP from Sindh.
Maulana Ghulam Muhammad Qadri has been appointed VP Balochistan while Haji Muhammad Aslam Khan Rokhri, Sahibzada Ahmed Mian Khan and Aqeel Anjum have been nominated as Joint Secretaries. Muhammad Hashim Siddiqui has been appointed as Secretary Information of the party while Dr Javed Awan will be Chief Organiser.
