The government has announced a new liberalised visa policy. My question to the government is that, have you read your policy? Why is it that our bureaucracy is bent upon making rules so complicated that it become impossible for the people to follow and open door for corruption?
The new visa policy has "List A" of friendly countries that is then sub-divided into business-friendly and tourist-friendly countries. Do the concerned ministries care to elaborate on the need for sub-division?
Furthermore, the policy goes further empowering our mission to issue various types of visa to nationals of the 'A List'. Why the need for any type of visas? Then the tourist-friendly countries of list A can also get visas on arrival but through designated tour operators in Pakistan (corruption).
Business-friendly countries can also get visas on arrival on the production of certain mundane documents. Then why is there the need of having expensive visa officer in our missions abroad. (Corruption). It then goes on to say that the persons from business-friendly countries will get a 5-year multiple entry visas, which negates the visa on arrival policy.
India. Well there are different categories. The civil society persons, senior citizens, widows and divorcees are one. Second are group travellers and third is businessman. Why? What the hell is wrong with you people? Why are you making your life and others complicated?
THE FOLLOWING SHOULD BE THE VISA POLICY:
LIST A COUNTRIES: No visa required. Allowed staying in Pakistan for 6 months without taking any employment.
LIST B COUNTRIES: visa required - visa should be issued for single or multiple entries for up to 5 years.
And India to be included in one of the above lists, not in a separate category.
