A seven-member parliamentary delegation headed by Speaker, National Assembly, Chaudhry Amir Hussain left for Malaysia on a six-day official visit. Talking to APP at Islamabad Airport, the speaker said that the visit was an opportunity to interact with the parliamentarians and official bodies of Malaysia to project better image of Pakistan.
He added that Malaysia is an important country of the region with whom Pakistan has close economic and cultural ties.
Chaudhry Amir said, "we want to further strengthen our relations for the betterment of people of both the countries."
He said during the visit the delegation would hold meetings with the King of Malaysia, the deputy prime minister, the speaker of the parliament, cabinet members and chief executive of the Malaysian Palm Oil Company.
The speaker said close interaction of parliamentarians of both the countries would help benefit from the experiences of each other's. He apprised that during the stay in Malaysia.
The delegation members included five MNAs and the Secretary National Assembly Secretariat besides the Speaker National Assembly.
