President General Pervez Musharraf has expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the sad demise of renowned writer, poet and columnist Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi, who died in Lahore on Monday morning. The President, in his condolence message, paid rich tribute to (late) Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi for his meritorious service in the field of Urdu literature.
He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with equanimity, says in press release.
Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi, struck by some cardiac disorder, was under treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Punjab Institute of Cardiology. He was a chronic patient of ailing lungs and breathing trouble, but this time he was shifted to the hospital due to heart ailment.
