CBR transfers and postings

The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has transferred 12 Commissioners of Income Tax (CIT) of BS-20 with immediate effect. According to a notification issued on Monday.
Asad Ali Jan CIT (Appeals), Gujranwala, has been transferred and posted as CIT (Appeals), Peshawar; Mian Farooq Tahir, CIT, Medium Taxpayer Unit (MTU), Lahore, as CIT, Multan Zone, Multan; Javed Akhter CIT, Multan Zone, as CIT (Appeals), Gujranwala; Abdul Rauf, on return from PASC to CIT, Companies Zone-I, Lahore; Mian Masood Ahmad CIT Companies Zone-II, Lahore, to Zone-C, Lahore; Khalid Aziz Banth, on return from PASC to MTU, Lahore; Ms Raana Mirza, CIT, Zone-C, Lahore, to CIT, Zone-B, Lahore; Mrs Tabana Sajjad Naseer, on return from PASC as CIT, Zone A, Lahore; Muhammad Asif Hashmi, CIT, Special Zone, Lahore, to Companies Zone-II, Lahore; Muhammad Ashraf, on return from PASC as CIT, Faisalabad Zone, Faisalabad; Abdul Ali Khan, CIT Faisalabad Zone, Faisalabad, as Chief (DTO), CBR, Islamabad; and Mrs Shahnaz Rafique, Director (DOT) (DT), Lahore, has been transferred and posted as CIT, Special Zone, Lahore.
The Board has also transferred three BS-19/18 officers of Income Tax Group with immediate effect. Accordingly, M Shahid Zaheer, Additional Director, DOT (DT), Lahore, has been transferred and posted at Central Region, Multan; Abdus Salam, Additional Director, DOT (DT), Karachi, to Corporate Region, Karachi; and Anwarul Haq, Deputy Director, DOT (DT), Lahore, has been assigned Eastern Region, Lahore.
Eight officials (BS-20/19/18) of the income tax group have been selected on specialised positions and subsequently given new assignments.
According to a notification, Shahid Hussain Asad Commissioner of Income Tax (CIT), Zone-A Eastern Region, Lahore has been posted as Director, Directorate of Training (DOT), Lahore; Hamid Ateeq Sarwar, Additional Director, DOT, DT, Lahore would work as Additional Director (Examination/Operation), DOT, Lahore; S Imran Raza Kazmi, Additional Commissioner, Special Zone, Eastern Region, Lahore, has been transferred as Additional Director, DOT, DT, Lahore; Muhammad Atiq, Additional Director, DOT, DT, Lahore has been transferred and posted as Additional Director DOT, Lahore; Tariq Mahmood Khan, Secretary, CBR, to Additional Director DOT, DT, Karachi; Ms Yasmin Fatima, DCIT, MTU, Lahore, as Deputy Director, DOT (DT), Lahore; Ms Amna Faiz Bhatti, DCIT, Zone-C, Eastern Region, Lahore as Deputy Director, DOT (DT), Lahore; and Syed Ghulam Abbas Kazmi, DCIT, Northern Region, Islamabad as Deputy Director, DOT (DT), Islamabad.
The Board has cancelled its notification granting deputation to Mirza Imtiaz Ahmad, a BS-19 officer of Income Tax Group, presently posted as Additional Director, Directorate General Inspection and Internal Audit (Direct Taxes), Regional Office, Karachi, for purusing two years MBA Degree at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA under the World Bank funded Public Sector Capacity Building Project (PSCBP). The officer will continue to work against the same post until further orders.
Meanwhile, Abdul Shakoor, a BS-19 officer of Income Tax Group, presently posted as Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, Islamabad Zone, Islamabad, is allowed to look after the work of Commissioner of Income Tax, Islamabad Zone, Islamabad, in addition to his own duties, during the ex-Pakistan leave of Aziz Ahmed Bilour, Commissioner of Income Tax, Islamabad Zone, Islamabad.
