The residents of Gulshan-e-Iqbal have criticised the town administration for the artificial shortage of water in the area. Secretary Street Management Decent Homes, Syed Hasan Akhtar in a press release.
The staff of water pumping station situated at Nipa Chowrangi was supplying water with a very low pressure and for a very short time that has created artificial shortage of water particularly in Block- XI (UC-10).
He alleged that the pumping station staff was demanding bribes from the street unions for supplying water and added that this practice has resorted to the stealing of water.
He further said the water board had dug off the roads recently constructed in the area, but the issue was still there and regretted that the board was even receiving the expenses in this regard from the area citizens.-PR
