Collector Customs Lahore, Muhammad Zahir-ud-Din, inaugurated the first registration desk of an upcoming seminar titled 'Dry Ports of Tomorrow' here at Mughalpura Dry Port on Thursday.
The seminar is being organised by The Elite News with collaboration of the World Bank, Central Board of Revenue (CBR), Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Pakistan Customs Computerised System (PACCS) and Trafco Group, on July 20 in Lahore.
The Collector said that business and trade community should arrange such events as this type of activities not only highlight the cause but also help increase the economic activity.
He appreciated the efforts of the organisers for arranging the first-ever seminar on 'dry ports of tomorrow' and said that it would help increase the dry ports business.
Saad Mukhtar Siddiqui, Editor-in-Chief of The Elite News revealed that it would be gathering of more than 500 businessmen, industrialists, trade associations, government officials, customs agents and freight forwarders.
