The Karachi Port handled 127,864 tonnes of cargo including 97,916 tonnes import, 29,948 tonnes export cargo and 3,776 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday. The cargo comprised of 68,146 tonnes dry cargo including 28,163 tonnes general cargo; 39,983 tonnes bulk cargo and 59,718 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Six ships sailed out to sea during the report period. Four vessels are currently at the berths. Two vessels viz MT Shalamar and Dong He are expected to sail on Friday. Five ships namely Bow Cedar, Kota Wijaya, Sp 5 Eric-G Gibson, Haje Khereh and Sentosa are due to arrive on Friday.
Two ships namely CV Hammurabi and MV Scan Bothnia sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two more ships namely CV CMA CGM Sambhar and MT Lady Jasmine are expected to sail on Friday.
A total of five vessels viz El Tango, Chem Adriatic, Kudam, Alabanda and Anette Kosan are currently at the outer anchorage. Three ships namely CV Wester Moor, MT Kudam and MT Anette Kosan due to take berths on Friday.
Three vessels viz MT Mega-1, MT Suzanne and MT Simphony with containers, chemicals and edible oil due to arrive on Friday, while five more ships namely CV MSC Sima Pars, CV MSC Brianna, CV Orient Independence, MV POS Dignity and MT Warbah with containers, seeds and diesel oil are due to arrive on Saturday.
