Cocoa arrivals at ports in Ivory Coast reached 1,286,841 tonnes between October 1 and July 9, according to an estimate by major exporters on Friday. That compared with 1,252,780 tonnes delivered to ports at the same period in the 2004/05 season, industry data showed. The figures showed that 17,507 tonnes arrived at ports between July 3 to 9.
"Arrivals last week fell below 20,000 tonnes which means that we're going to get average arrivals of 10-15,000 tonnes each week. We're in the last stages of the harvest," said the director of a leading European exporter in Abidjan.
