Allama Hassan Turabi was punished for his support to the Palestinians to liberate Al-Quds from the clutch of Israel, said Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Naib Amir Professor Abdul Ghafoor Ahmed here on Sunday.
Addressing annual training moot of Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) Karachi, he said that the martyrdom of Allama Turabi had proved that Jihad against the forces of evil would continue. He charged that the announcements regarding early arrest of the killers were nothing but white lies, as many other Ulema had been murdered in Karachi in past and the administration had failed to arrest their killers.
Professor Ghafoor said that those laying their lives to uphold Islam were winning an eternal life. He said that these martyrs were the bright stars of glorious history of Islam. He reminded that Pakistan was also created in result of sacrifices and martyrdom.He accused ruling class of not taking stand before India on the Kashmir dispute. He said that today the atrocities of Indian army meted out to innocent Kashmiris were on their peak, but the world was playing a role of silent spectator. He alleged that our rulers had forgotten the purpose of creation of Pakistan.
Professor Ghafoor said Islam was the future of Pakistan. He said that all hopes were now pinned on youth. He said that the younger generation was the catalyst of change. He lauded efforts of IJT activists for upholding the cause of Pakistan and Islam, and hoped that they would continue this praiseworthy tradition.
