Due to security lapse, around 30 to 40 men crossed the rope barrier in front of stage set up at Nishter Park on April 11 and they were among those people who offered Maghrib prayers on the ground near the stage.
This was stated by Chairman Pakistan Sunni Movement (PSM), Shah Sirajul Hag, an eyewitness in Nishter Park bombing in his deposition before the Inquiry Tribunal comprising Justice Rehmat Hussain Jaffery, Judge, Sindh High Court, when the Tribunal resumed proceedings here on Monday.
At the outset, the Tribunal put Shah Siraj to various questions, particularly, regarding his statement given during previous hearings.
To a query, the witness agreed that security lapse by the organisers on April 11 enabled some participants to cross the security zone carved out with a rope and offered Maghrib prayers near the stage.
The Tribunal also sought his views about arrangements and some items with stage handed over to JASP on April 10 at Nishter Park.
Later, the Tribunal also recorded the statement of Central Secretary Genera1 of Pakistan Sunni Movement, Shah Shafiul Azam, another eyewitness of Nishter Park bombing, who produced some pellets before the Tribunal, which were recovered by doctors of Al Mustafa Hospital, from his body.
The Tribunal then adjourned further proceedings till Tuesday when it will record the statements of doctors of different hospitals, who provided medical aid to the victims of the bombing.
