Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Makhdum Khusro Bakhtyar left here on Tuesday on five-day visit to Romania and Bulgaria to promote bilateral relations with these countries. His visit to Romania will be from July 18 to 20 and then Bulgaria from July 21 to 22.
The basic aim of the visits was to revive the mechanism of bilateral political consultations with these countries and strengthening of bilateral co-operation. The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs during his stay in Bucharest will call on the Romanian President, Traian Basesu. He will meet Romanian Foreign Minister and hold official level talks with the Deputy Foreign Minister.
During the talks, Minister of State will exchange views with the Romanian leadership on bilateral matters of mutual interest and discuss regional issues and matters of global concern regarding peace, security and stability.
