The Karachi Port handled 138,187 tonnes of cargo including 133,709 tonnes import, 4,478 tonnes export cargo and 2,499 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The cargo comprised of 71,597 tonnes dry cargo including 37,330 tonnes general cargo; 34,267 tonnes bulk cargo and 66,590 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Five ships sailed out to sea during the report period. Seven vessels are currently at the berths.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 61,281 tonnes comprising 44,226 tonnes import and 17,055 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,084 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Wednesday. The cargo comprised of 38,790 tonnes diesel oil; 3,600 tonnes edible oil; 463 tonnes cement and 18,428 tonnes containerised cargo.
Four ships namely CV Sealand Freedom, CV Mega-1, Khairpur and Mar Blue sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while three more ships namely MT Chem Adriatic, CV San Clemente and MT Ottawa are expected to sail on Wednesday. A total of eight vessels viz MSC Samia, QIA Al Fuja'a, Bavaria Express, Adrekni, El Tango, Alabanda, Elka Vasiliki and POS Dignity are currently at the outer anchorage.
Four ships namely CV Bavaria Express, CV MSC Samia, MV El Tango and MV Alabanda due to take berths on Wednesday. MV Infinity due to arrive to load cement on Wednesday, while five more ships namely CV Gallant Wave, CV Nedlloyd Muscat, MV Hua Shan Hai, MT Al Maqwa and MT Stolt Avance with containers, coke, edible oil and diesel oil are due to arrive on Thursday.
