Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) has announced to observe sit-in and protests against mega scandals and corruption of the military regime. District President of PML-N Allah Nawaz Khan Durrani said the protest rallies would start from Islamabad on July 26, which will later spread to all the four provinces in the country. He claimed that during the tenure of the present regime, lawlessness, joblessness and crime rate have increased.
He said soon after the no confidence motion against the government, the opposition would start mass mobilisation campaign to rid the inefficient and corrupt rulers. Briefing about the decision of high command here on Thursday, he said their struggle would continue till the return of true democracy in the country, he added.
He said even the report of the State Bank of Pakistan has warned that trade deficit has reached a dangerous level. He demanded for the release of development funds of opposition MNAs and MPAs so that development schemes could be executed in their constituencies. Durrani said for the past five years his party has been drawing the attention of the government towards the non-transparent procedure of the privatisation process.
He accused the president and prime minister of serving the interests of the international community. He said the international oil companies have now received the profit of over Rs 200 billion. Whereas the Pakistani banks are exploiting their account holders by giving them minimum rate of profit.
