By the passage of time, the Sino-Pak friendship grown taller than the highest peak of Himalayas and deeper than the deepest ocean of the pacific. Pak-China friendly ties enjoy national consensus and unanimity of views among all political leadership of the county alike.
This was stated by speakers at a programme arranged by Quaid-e-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan Memorial Committee to cerebrate 55th anniversary of the establishment of Pakistan-China diplomatic ties at a local hotel.
They said Pakistan and China were strategic partners and trusted friends of each other. Their friendship was peeved advantageous in all tests of time. It is not only based on common and mutual interest but also on morality.
Former prime minister Liaquat Ali Khan preferred to accord recognition to people's republic of China despite mounting opposition from the west. The leadership of two countries deserve warm applaud for their historic role in taking timely initiatives and promoting friendly relations.
They pointed out that Pakistan's first envoy to China Professor Ahmed Ali had played a leading role in laying sound foundation of the friendly ties among the two nations.
