Zila Nazim Hyderabad Kanwar Naveed has said that new computerised system for financial transaction in government organisation would be helpful specially for resolving the problems of retiring government employees, pensioners and speeding up development works in the district.
He said this while talking to the Accountant General Sindh Zulfiqar Ali Qadri who called on him at his office on Monday. During the deliberation on system, the Zila Nazim Hyderabad was of the view that old accounting system due to its flaws and involvement of manual work was not only causing delay and difficulties in disposal of financial matters but also creating problems in policy making and in budgeting business.
He said that due to introduction of computerised system, accuracy, speedy disposal of financial matters would enable all stakeholders to achieve the targets without further delay or financial loss.
He said to get this system more success and to ensure efficient deliveries to the beneficiaries of Hyderabad, district government Hyderabad would supplement the efforts of management of A.G. Sindh not only by extending its full co-operation but providing necessary training to its concerned staff.
He said that this is a new change for new social development in which from pensioners to government organisation would be benefited. However, he suggested for evolving more easy, simple and speedy procedure for the payment to retiring employees and pensioners, who according to him have suffered lot due to old accounting system.
The AG Sindh Zulfiqar Ali Qadri informed the Zila Nazim that he has introduced a foolproof System for early payment to the retired employees and pensioners and has published district-wise dictionaries to facilitate pensioners but it was only concerned department who were not providing data of employees, causing difficulties not for his organisation but employees as well. He said he has submitted the list of government employees who were going to retire in the year of 2006-2007 one-year before but the response from concerned department was very poor. However, Qadri was optimistic that after inputting the data of all employees in the computerised system of accounts the problem would be gradually solved.
Qadri informed Zila Nazim that our offices in the districts were dealing 70 percent financial transaction of district governments and their co-operation and skill development of district government officials would be more helpful for this system.
Earlier, the A G Sindh Zulfiqar Ali Qadri inaugurated the work flow accounting system by unveiling plaque and clicking computer for getting electronic printed cheque at District Account Office Hyderabad. He also took round of the office where he was briefed by the District Account Officer, Hyderabad, Allah Bachayo Jatoi.
