Home Minister Sindh, Rauf Siddiqui has directed DIG Traffic, Falak Khurshid to strictly enforce the traffic rules without any discrimination. He was talking to the DIG in his office here on Monday. Rauf said that no one is above the law and the traffic police should execute their responsibilities without any pressure.
He asked the DIG to create awareness among masses regarding traffic rules and regulations and added that the citizens should not be troubled. Meanwhile, the minister informed that Rs 5.27 million were collected under the head of fine imposed on smoke emitting vehicles and vehicles using fancy number plates, tinted glasses, pressure horns, hooters and emergency lights. Rauf Siddiqui appealed to the vehicle owners to immediately remove such restricted accessories otherwise strict action would be taken against them.
