KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) Monday ordered the authorities to provide security to Syed Muhammad Iqbal Kazmi, a petitioner in a May 12, 2007 violence case.
A two-judge bench headed by Justice Ahmed Ali M Shaikh heard the petition filed by Syed Muhammad Iqbal Kazmi, seeking security cover against threats to his life.
Kazmi told the court that since he had filed a petition relating to May 12, 2007 incident, he had been receiving threats to his and his family's lives.
The court ordered that security be provided to the petitioner and adjourned the hearing sine die.
