US stocks were little changed on Wednesday as stronger-than-expected quarterly results by General Motors Corp. and gains in energy companies offset a drag fuelled by a drop in plane maker and US defence contractor Boeing Co.'s shares.
Stocks cut their early losses around noon. After registering some slight gains, the three major indexes dipped back into negative territory in early afternoon trading.
The Dow Jones industrial average was down 1.28 points, or 0.01 percent, at 11,102.43. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 0.59 of a point, or 0.05 percent, at 1,268.29. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 5.51 points, or 0.27 percent, at 2,068.39.
