Provincial Minister for Population Welfare, Naseem Lodhi has said that 1800 Imam/Khateebs have been imparted training regarding benefits of small family and keeping the family according to resources under Social Mobilisation Programme (SMP).
She disclosed this while presiding over a departmental meeting, which was attended by the officers concerned. The Minister said that 105 Imam/Khateebs were trained as master trainers who had been given training to 1695 Imam/Khateebs. She said that these 1800 trained Imam/Khateebs belong to 29 districts of the province while 200 residue Imam/Khateebs of 6 districts would get training by December 2006. She said that the title of Imam/Khateebs course was "Islam and small family norm".
