With a view to proposing a way forward for documentation of drug addicts and their rehabilitation, the Chief Secretary has constituted a 4-member committee comprising Secretary Health as its chairman and Secretary Excise & Taxation, Secretary Social Welfare and Secretary Home as members.
The committee will prepare an action plan for the registration of drug addicts and their rehabilitation by examining the recent model of Child Protection and Welfare Bureau.
The committee will submit its recommendations within two months to Chief Minister's Task Force on Anti-Narcotics Measure.
