A number of anti Israel rallies were organised on Friday in different towns of southern Punjab to condemn the US-back Israeli aggression, bombing on residential areas and killing 900 innocent Lebanese and injuring 3000 people, including infants.
Rotary Club (Midtown) Multan organised a walk, led by Iftikhar Baig, Bushra Naqvi, Salim Bukhari, Younas Ghazi Advocate from SP Chowk. Participants were carrying placards inscribed with slogans against Israel aggression, bombing and killing innocent people.
The protestors expressed solidarity with the people of Lebanon and Palestine and appealed to the world community to look towards the killing of innocent people and Israeli aggression, which they feared might cause eruption of third world war. Religious parties also staged demonstrations in Bahawalpur, Rahimyar Khan, Rajanpur, Leiah, Bhakkar, Vehari, Mailsi and Multan to condemn the Israeli aggression and expressed solidarity with the Lebanon, Syria and Iran. They also burnt the US & Israel flags and effigies of US president and Israel leaders.
